I am a French artist living and working in London since 1995. My strong figurative urban landscapes focus on the lines, light and colour of familiar streets near where I live and work, in Loughborough Junction, SE London.
I studied Communications at Camberwell College of Art and the Royal College of Art. I first developed my personal view of the city by working as a freelance video maker for around 15 years. I got used to 'framing' things all the time, even without a camera. Walking around I would suddenly see something and think: 'this would make a good shot'. Since returning to oil painting 9 years ago, I see something and think: 'there is a painting in this'.
I have gradually become a full time painter over the last few years. My work has been exhibited at many galleries and art fairs. I was very lucky to be in the RA Summer Exhibition in 2023, which was a very positive experience. I sell widely to collectors in the UK and worldwide.
We've carefully curated a selection of works from each artist that showcases their skill and distinctive voice. Explore their creations and discover the inspiration behind each piece.

Lots of artists are now part of The Art Post collective. We will try to find an artist who is best suited for your project or commission. If you know who you would like to commission, feel free to specify the artists' name in the form.
We're asking artists to choose one notable person, place and object that has inspired them in their journey so far. We're mapping inspiration at a scale never attempted before
My dad is the person that has most influenced me in my work so far. At 85 years old, he still looks at his surroundings with a huge curiosity and sensitivity. He is very good at sharing this curiosity, and I have learnt to respect beauty wherever I see it, whatever the shape it takes, through his example.
I am mostly inspired by whatever place I am in at any given time. Because I live and work in South London, the vast majority of my paintings are of that area. When I holiday in my family home in Brittany, I paint the same group of trees I see through the open window. So far I have painted around 60 paintings of these trees. I am not scared of repetition. You can look at the same urban or natural landscape a thousand times and still find novelty and a new kind of beauty.
Oil paint inspires me. I love its texture, smell, colours and potential. I don't tire of it.
