I am a lover of nature, art and history who for many years put the brushes and pencils aside- only creating in my mind. I finally started painting regularly at the ripe age of 36 after meeting my creative sibling that inspired me.
I have begun what I can only describe as an unexplainable journey down a path of Victorian artists. It has been highly coincidental this far and drenched in discovery. I mainly paint scenes of historical buildings from the Victorian era in Sheffield & London in my way of preserving a little history.
We've carefully curated a selection of works from each artist that showcases their skill and distinctive voice. Explore their creations and discover the inspiration behind each piece.

Lots of artists are now part of The Art Post collective. We will try to find an artist who is best suited for your project or commission. If you know who you would like to commission, feel free to specify the artists' name in the form.
We're asking artists to choose one notable person, place and object that has inspired them in their journey so far. We're mapping inspiration at a scale never attempted before
John Ruskin is my biggest inspiration to date along with some of his companions- JW Turner, William Dyce, William Morris, Francis Chantrey and a few less known artists of his time. These artists inspire me not only in the way they painted but in their general views on society and art. I am also hugely inspired by a living London artist known as Martin Grover. He became a mentor to me over the last few years and has certainly left his mark on my current works.
Sheffield parks are simply wonderful. I moved here a few months ago from London and find myself getting lost in the magic of nature here. I’m very much in love with Graves park and Millhouses brook
