Tim Romanowsky (1981, Halle) studied Illustration / Animation in HKD-Burg Giebichenstein, Halle and Hochschule Luzern, Switzerland. He lives in Leipzig and works as a visual artist in the fields of painting, drawing and 2D animation. He got scholarships and fundings from institutions like Stiftung Kunstfonds, Kulturstiftung Sachsen and Kunststiftung Sachsen Anhalt, and is presenting his work at numerous exhibitions and film-festivals.
His work is open to playing with moving images, overlaying shapes and gestures in a variety of ways. While exploring forms and structures to create a visual cosmos / narration, he constantly puzzles together new elements or finds parallels between the individual works.
Since 2017 he’s teaching on academic level and since 2022 as guest professor at Hochschule Trier.
