Tom (b.1992) is an artist and printmaker based in Edinburgh. His work spans a number of different print-making techniques and explores the everyday and mundane. His process starts with observational drawings and oil paintings as he is interested in a focused study of objects, people and places. He then translates these studies into etchings as he is interested in the medium’s history of mass production as well as its direct relationship with drawing.
Tom grew up in Nottingham before studying at The Bartlett School of Architecture and working as an architect in London. He practiced printmaking during lockdown and moved to Edinburgh in 2022 to commit full-time to printmaking.
