Vanessa is a figurative painter motivated by the exploration of emotions, memory, and dreams. She is inspired by the transcendence many experience
when 'wild' swimming - in ponds, lakes, and the sea. She documents these moments of euphoria felt from immersing in cool and fresh waters.
Her work has been described as ‘joyful’ and pushing a ‘mischievous and irreverent use of colour’ to heighten the mood. Her painting blends direct observation with photographic evidence and a bright palette to convey the quicksilver of our lives. She seeks to capture a range of transient feelings
that momentarily pass over us during our day. She has exhibited several times in London, including most recently at the Mall Galleries near Buckingham Palace and the Affordable Art Fairs.
We've carefully curated a selection of works from each artist that showcases their skill and distinctive voice. Explore their creations and discover the inspiration behind each piece.

Lots of artists are now part of The Art Post collective. We will try to find an artist who is best suited for your project or commission. If you know who you would like to commission, feel free to specify the artists' name in the form.
We're asking artists to choose one notable person, place and object that has inspired them in their journey so far. We're mapping inspiration at a scale never attempted before
There are too many artists to mention, but if I had to pick one it would be Pierre Bonnard. His work is complicated (in terms of aesthetic and ethics) and sometimes fails to convey the sense of a dilation of time (which is what he wanted). But it's sheer genius nonetheless and leaps ahead of it's time.
