‘No Man is an Island' refers to our wider responsibility towards the environment. Exploring how local and individual actions have a global effect particularly in regard to plastic pollution and climate crisis. We are all responsible. No part of the map is free from plastic; even uninhabited islands are plagued by plastic pollution. The embossed patterns from the domestic food packaging, captured in cement, recall the grid lines on maps. The naturally inspired textures emphasise how our waste becomes subsumed into our environment. Embellished recycled fabrics cast in waste plastic packaging, concrete. Size: 120 x 90 x 4 cm
